The Waterloo Seminar And what I learnt..?

So, in my school me and all my friends had attended a seminar where a Waterloo representative teacher came and gave us some tips and made us learn more about human nature and why going to Waterloo could be 'the' move, and don't freak out already, I will share with you what I learnt.

IT STARTED SOMETHING LIKE THIS...

The representative first started by sharing us a worksheet with the title 'Warm up questions', and they consisted of all the crazy looking questions and they were the questions we were supposed to know already and this is what they had expected from their students... Guess who failed to do even one, me. 😜

He slowly revealed the answers question by question, and I realised the answers were simpler than the methods I had taken to approach for the answers. So what is the learning out of the first half of the seminar, that instead of blindly doing every task you have on your calendar 📆 , you should always find ways of getting an easier way out, I call this "lazy approach towards life"

THE OTHER HALF...

In the other half of the seminar, the professor shared his experience about how Waterloo could be the right decision for many people, as they offer many courses for Mathematics and they are very focused towards that. Also, they shared a their webpage, I am sure you will get it by searching 'Waterloo' on Google, but yeah, basically they have weekly exams called UCLID where they prepare everyone for the kind of questions they gave for the warm up questions.

RESUMES AND COLLEGE APPLICATIONS...

The professor shared with us that the thing that he most values in hiring new employees and even selecting college applications is the person having participated in competitions and making him/her self presentable and basically sell your qualities, because at the end of the day it is that you have to be profitable for either the college or the company.

I hope everyone can take a lesson out of this blog, it is a bit shorter than usual, but hey, it was an experience, I had to cut the crap and make it simple.
